As the state-wide ser­vice agency, BIOPRO Baden-Würt­tem­berg pro­vides tar­get­ed sup­port to research insti­tu­tions and com­pa­nies in the biotech­nol­o­gy and life sci­ences sectors.

 

BIOVALLEY

As a unique project estab­lished in the heart of Europe, bring­ing togeth­er Alsace in France, South Baden in Ger­many and North­west Switzer­land, with as cen­ters Stras­bourg, Freiburg and Basel, Bio­Val­ley was one of the first Euro­pean ini­tia­tives for the pro­mo­tion and the devel­op­ment of life sci­ences. It has grown to become one of the lead­ing life sci­ences regions in the world.

 

DECHEMA

DECHEMA (Soci­ety for Chem­i­cal Engi­neer­ing and Biotech­nol­o­gy) is a non-prof­it sci­en­tif­ic and tech­ni­cal soci­ety based in Frank­furt am Main, Ger­many. It has more than 5,500 pri­vate and insti­tu­tion­al mem­bers, among them sci­en­tists, engi­neers, com­pa­nies, organ­i­sa­tions and insti­tutes. Job­st Tech­nolo­gies is mem­ber of the tem­po­rary work­ing group “Sin­gle use tech­nolo­gies in bio­phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal pro­duc­tion” and co-author of its actu­al state-of-the-art paper.

European Organ-on-Chip Society (EUROoCS)

EUROoCS is an inde­pen­dent, not-for-prof­it orga­ni­za­tion estab­lished to encour­age and devel­op Organ-on-Chip research, and to pro­vide oppor­tu­ni­ties to share and advance knowl­edge and exper­tise in the field towards bet­ter health for all. It brings togeth­er a broad audi­ence includ­ing the gen­er­al pub­lic and insti­tu­tions (gov­ern­ment, health foun­da­tions, char­i­ties), the aca­d­e­m­ic research com­mu­ni­ty (uni­ver­si­ties, research insti­tutes), the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal indus­try, oth­er indus­tries (cos­met­ics, chem­i­cal, envi­ron­men­tal tox­i­c­i­ty and food indus­tries), hos­pi­tals, med­ical cen­ters and med­ical prac­ti­tion­ers, patients asso­ci­a­tions, pol­i­cy mak­ers and test­ing centers.

IVAM Microtechnology Network

IVAM cre­ates trust­ful inter­na­tion­al con­nec­tions between devel­op­ers, man­u­fac­tur­ers and users of high-tech prod­ucts. The focus is on small and medi­um-sized enter­pris­es and their needs as well as on rep­re­sen­ta­tion of their inter­ests. It offers offers well-found­ed ori­en­ta­tion in the high-tech land­scape and pro­vides valu­able know-how, e.g. through expert groups or stud­ies, on strate­gic ques­tions con­cern­ing tar­get mar­kets, fund­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties, appli­ca­tion trends or inno­va­tion management.

MicroTEC Süd­west (South­west) — an inno­v­a­tive clus­ter in the field of microsys­tems technology.
With the four regions and linch­pins Karl­sruhe, Stuttgart, Villin­gen-Schwen­nin­gen and Freiburg the clus­ter is locat­ed in one of the Euro­pean high-per­for­mance areas of sci­ence and industry.
